He was born October 14, 1928 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Dane and Olga (Anderson) Lasich. Daniel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a railroad conductor. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Daniel was a longtime member of the Elk's #577, American Legion and VFW. In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Lasich; and sister, Virginia Miller. Daniel will be greatly missed by his beloved family. He enjoyed working with heavy equipment, hunting, bird watching and spending time with his family. "Millie" (Bruno); loving father of Carol (Donald) Pegnataro and the late Deborah Haywood McCloskey; Pop-Pop of Stephanie (Michael) Joyce and Donald Pegnataro; Great-Pop-Pop of Benjamin Joyce; brother of the late Gail and Franklin Haywood. Roy proudly served our country during WWII in the Army, and upon his return from Europe, attended the Art Institute. A natural athlete, he was a star player for the Dunlevy soccer team and later in life became an avid and accomplished golfer. After 38 years as a Greyhound bus driver, his love for driving continued for the rest of his life, taking him to the gym daily, countless nursing homes for visits, religious pilgrimages, golf tournaments, and family gatherings. He was a generous and devoted man, not only to the Catholic Church, but also to family, friends, and others in need. He had the ability to talk to anyone about anything and his humor always lit up the room. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him, and he will be greatly missed. Born March 15, 1941 was a proud US Army lieutenant who served in Korea's Demilitarized Zone in the early '60s, and then went on to a successful civilian career in investment banking. He grew up in the North Hills and graduated from North Allegheny High School; then, he graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He married Barbara Diesner Gormly in 1965 at Fort Bliss Army Base in El Paso, Texas; they spent most of their lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. Gormly is survived by two daughters, Kellie Gormly of Pittsburgh, and Kirsten (Brad) Gormly Ghaster of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Christine Whitten, of Connecticut; and nephews, nieces and cousins.
