GREGORY RAYMOND W. An adventurous spirit who embraced and loved life passed unexpectedly on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the age 49. He was born in Sewickley on August 2, 1969 to Carolyn Joan (Osenbau) Gregory and the late Richard R. Gregory. He grew up in Moon Township graduating from Moon High School, Class of 1988. Ray moved to Hanover Township while working for Monster.com, improved his sales techniques and continued working with Best Line Equipment. Ray was everybody's friend, gregarious and some would say fabulous and a "goof ball". Ray loved to cook, camp, snow ski, white water rafting, basically trying anything new that sparked his interest. He loved fishing and was a hunter with good intentions. Ray was the beloved husband of Stephanie (Senn) for 19 years; cherished son of Carolyn Gregory; loving father of Tatum Rae and Keegan Richard; well-loved brother of Shannon Gregory of Moon Township, Meghan (TJ) Botkin of Clinton, Richard (Jennifer) Gregory of Moon; adored uncle of Jake Botkin and Aidan Gregory. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Richard R. Gregory, on November 6, 2018. Ray was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Coraopolis and F & AM Lodge #674. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Maurice White and Margaret Rodgers White. LUTZ GLORIA MARIE Age 97, of Bridgeville, a devout Catholic and devoted aunt, was welcomed into heaven on November 17, 2018. Preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bertha Lutz; her sister, Joan Lutz Malarkey; and brotherin-law, Pat Malarkey. Gloria was a beloved source of wisdom and support to her large extended family. While never married, she became the matriarch of the Malarkey family upon the early death of her sister. Aunt Glo will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Jerry and Laurie Malarkey; Patty and Mark Witmer; Bill and Cheryl Malarkey, Kathy Revesz; Jim and Beth Malarkey, Mary Lou and Jeff Reicoff, Danny and Elaine Malarkey; and cherished great-nieces and nephews. A former English teacher for Bridgeville and Chartiers Valley High Schools, Gloria served her church and volunteered in her local community into her nineties. HATTRUP ROSE MARY Age 91, of Franklin Park, died at home surrounded by her family, on Sunday, November 18, 2018. Rose was born on July 28, 1927 in Sharpsville, PA, the youngest daughter of eight children, to Anthony and Lucia Perfett. She graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1945. Not long after, she met and married Gerald James Hattrup, a young engineer with Westinghouse, formerly of The Dalles, OR, and Keuterville, ID. She and Jerry were married for 45 years, together devoting their lives to raising their eight children, before his death in 1986. Rose is survived by her children, John (Colleen) Hattrup, Joanne Marie Hattrup, Thomas (Deborah) Hattrup, Gerald James (Julia) Hattrup, Jr., Mary Jean (Milton) Matus, Carole (Ted) Cunningham, Rosemary (John) McNelis, and Daniel (Kathleen) Hattrup; grandchildren, Maureen (Dave) McAvoy, Roger (Laura) Hattrup, Joseph Hattrup, Adam (Debbie) Ferlet, Evan (Shelia) Ferlet, Samuel Hattrup, Kevin (Karen) Hattrup, Edward (Lydia) Hattrup, Elizabeth Hattrup, Laura Hattrup, Tessa Matus, Emma Matus, Sara Cunningham, Eric Cunningham, Amy Cunningham, Ryan McNelis, Mary Rose McNelis, Megan McNelis, James Hattrup, Anthony Hattrup, and Katie Hattrup; greatgrandchildren, Miriam, Eliza, Finian, Christopher, Kylie, Alex, Violet, Lucienne, Eamon, Nora, Liam, and Stella; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. WISNIEWSKI ANTHONY V. Of West Mifflin, on November 19, 2018, age 90. Son of the late Vincent and Helen (Vorek) Wisniewski; beloved wife of 66 years of Margaret (Butko) Wisniewski; father of Donna (Edward) Matuch and Marianne Regan; brother of the late Walter Wisniewski, Frances Pazey, Leona Wos and Margaret Berton; grandfather of James, Craig (Erin), Jenna (Heath) and Lindsay (Johnny); greatgrandfather of Caiden, Landon and one on the way coming in April. Anthony was a Veteran of the Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a printer for the Pittsburgh Press, retiring in 1992 after 33 years of service. He was also a member of Typographical Union #7 and also a longtime member of the former St. Michael's Men's Club. Anthony's hobbies included cutting coupons and watching and cheering on all of the Pittsburgh sports teams. LEIDY ARLENE SHEVEL Age 87, of Harlansburg Road, Hickory Township, died Monday, November 19, 2018 at Clen-Moore Place in New Castle. She was born January 17, 1931 in Monessen, PA, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Lillian (Palomaki) Shevel. She was married to the late Blaine I. Leidy, who died October 24, 2004. Mrs. Leidy was a graduate of Monessen High School, Indiana Teachers College with a Bachelor's Degree in Education, and the University of Pittsburgh with a Master's Degree in Education. She was a 3rd Grade Teacher at Penn Hills School District, taught at Forest Hills Nursery School, and was Director of Calvary Pre-School Center in Irwin, PA retiring after 14 years. Mrs. Leidy was and organist at Calvary Assembly Church in Irwin and enjoyed music, singing in trios and duets, playing the organ, reading, and photography. She also loved having dinner parties with family and friends. She is survived by one son, Bruce K. Leidy and his wife, Cris, of New Castle; one brother, Dr. W. Lee Shevel and wife, Faye, of Oro Valley, AZ; and two sisters, Dorothy M. Pandolph of New Castle and Ruth E. Hannold of Bedford, PA; she was also preceded in death by one brother, David P. O'NEIL WILLIAM A. Age 89, of Greenfield, on November 19, 2018. Beloved husband of Eileen McShea O'Neil; loving father of Christine (Hossein) Dashti, Mary Beth Doyle, Caroline (Jim) Deasy, and the late Larry O'Neil. Mr. O'Neil is also survived by Jean McShea, his sister-in-law; his loving grandchildren, Cameron and Arman Dashti, Katie Doyle, Colleen (Logan) Hanley, Meghan (Dennis) Saltzman, Bridget Deasy; and his greatgrandchildren, Christian and Amelia Saltzman. He was predeceased by his brothers and sister, Edward, Charles, Richard, Jack, and Ursula Snyder. He will surely be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Mr. O'Neil was a devoted husband of 61 years, a loving father and grandfather, a devoted Catholic, and very proud of his Irish heritage. He served in the US Army in the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion, a member of St. Stephen Parish, Holy Cross Brothers, and an Oblate of St. Benedict.
