She is survived by her five siblings, Mary Jane Petruska, of Monroeville, Kathryn (Charles) Schaeffer, of Cincinnati, Ohio, John (Carol) Petruska, of Turtle Creek, Judy (Arthur) Snyder, of Murrysville, David (Maria) Petruska of Monroeville. She is also survived by eight nieces; and 11 great-nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Janet retired from K-Mart Corporation where she was an Office Manager. She was an avid Polka fan. She loved dancing and listening to polka music, and going on polka cruises with her sister, Mary Jane. Janet was a faithful member of St. Peter and Paul Ukranian Church in Wilmerding until it closed. She was a member of St. John the Baptist in McKeesport where she has made many pirohys to help her church. Beloved and devoted wife of 62 years to the late Joseph Pasquarelli, Sr.; loving mother of Len Pasquarelli (Susan) of Atlanta, GA, Joseph Pasquarelli, Jr. (Alma) of Morningside and of the late David Pasquarelli (Alice), Ruth Ann Neary (Kevin) and John Pasquarelli (Bernadette); daughter of the late Felix and Elinora Hughes McNeill; sister of Robert McNeill of Beechview and of the late Ruth Radocay, Gladys Samuels, "Jack" McNeill and Elizabeth Rold. She will be sorely missed by 14 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren, whom she greatly loved, and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was born and raised in Bloomfield, and lived there for her entire life, until moving to Canterbury Place in 2008. She was outgoing and gracious, a gentle soul who was giving of her time, loved interacting with people, and was especially proud of her work with the elections board and her many particularly fulfilling years with the Pittsburgh Food Bank. She loved cooking for her family and friends and, among other dishes, was especially noted for her meatballs, hot sausage, Pasta "Fazool" and Pizzelles. Born September 29, 1930, in Waynesburg, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Raymond and Evelyn LouElla (Goslin) Ross. DeEtta dedicated her life to serving others. Throughout her life she was a private housekeeper for 66 years, a cook at Conley's Motel, a library aid at the Blackhawk Middle School library, a school bus driver for 13 years, a private caregiver and a seamstress. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, PCA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Yeager, to whom she was married 23 years, and Clair K. Houk, to whom she was married for 16 years; her two sons, Blaine Crawford Yeager on June 9, 2014, and Allen Raymond Yeager on January 17, 1996; and her four brothers, Jack Ross, Richard Ross, Robert (Danny) Ross and infant Kenneth Ross. UPHOFF FREDERICK A., JR. Age 94, on March 6, 2017, of Shaler Township. Son of the late Fred and A. Patti Uphoff Sr.; husband of the late Margaret "Boots" Uphoff; brother of the late Ruth (Howard) Dudt; father to Paula Watson, Cheryl (Jim) Prugh, Nancy Crawley, Fred (Debbie) Uphoff III, Eric (Tina) Uphoff, Ruth Adams, Melissa (William) McKaveney, Cindy (Jeff) Usher, Gary (Debra) Iskra and Kathy (Jeff) Skrbin; grandfather to 25 grandchildren and 20; great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Fred attended Shenley High school where he began his dedicaton of service by serving in the Boys Brigade along side life long friends, Joe Parco and Jack Hennen. Upon graduation in 1940 he began working at Blawnox Steele as a steel roller until he enlisted in the United States Army Airforce on November 4, 1942. Upon completion of Gunnery and Airplane Mechanic school, he transferred to Davis Monthan Field, AZ for B 24 flight training. He was then sent to Alamogordo, NM where the 450th Bomber Group was being formed, he became a charter member of the group and the 723rd Bomber Squadron in October 1943. Led by flight pilot Lou Samsa, his crew was assiged to the ship Round Trip Rosie and began flying missions in Manduria, Italy in January 1944.During a brief reassignment with another crew ship, Fred returned to the loss of the Round Trip Rosie plane and crew. With his original crew lost he filled in on any plane that needed a member. He flew with five different pilots and finished the last 25 missions with pilot Richard Hefner, the crew would eventually become historically known as one of the crews of the "Cotton Tails". A Book entitled "The Flight of the Cotton Tails" was published with documentaries of the events of the missions led by these dedicated war heroes. Of the five crews he flew with, only one crew was able to complete the required missions, while the other crews were lost in battle. Fred ended his tour of duty, as staff sergeant, on June 4, 1944, with 51 completed missions and several medals of Valor including two Purple Hearts. Fred was indeed, honorable to his country, and his dedication of service will remain respected historically for generations. After his honorable discharge from USAAF, he returned to work at Blawnox Steele and later Wheeling Pittsburgh Steele as a Foreman. Fred married Margaret (Boots) on May 27, 1964 and they raised 10 children (hers, his and theirs). He was a life long member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and spent many years of sharing his gift of singing and his love of music and dancing. The next time you hear Frank Sinatra music, think of Fred, as he most likely will be singing along with you. He greatly enjoyed making people laugh by his flirtatous antics that brought a smile to all who knew him. As for his departing affectionate words , "Tapioca for now" with love, Fred. Born February 12, 1920, in Jefferson Hills, one of five children of Paul B. and Margaret (Tepe) Graham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Miller and brothers, Paul and Eugene Graham. A loving mother and grandmother, Margaret is survived by three children, Paula (Fred) Bowman, Lee (Janice) Miller, and Terry (Nancy) Miller; six grandchildren, Scott (Antonine) Miller, Karen (Joe) Calabria, Mark (Ann) Miller, Rick (Deborah Ratner) Bowman, Kimberly (Aaron) Nye, and Matthew (Breonna) Miller. She is also survived by 11 great- grandchildren in whom she took great pleasure and pride, Rebecca, Kate, Emma, Riley, Joey, Abby, Logan, Mackenzie, Dominic, Lena, and Francesca; two sisters, Ann (Don) Zadach and Kay Ferguson; and numerous nieces and nephews. After graduating from Clairton High School and Duff's Business School, Margaret worked for many years in the West Jefferson Hills School District as a financial secretary and secretary to the superintendent. Margaret was a woman of strong faith, and her life was centered around the church. She was a lifelong and dedicated member of the former Beulah Baptist (now Crossroads Community) Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and was active in many groups. She was also an active member in the Eastern Star and Amaranth. Her interest in others caused her to gift beautiful handmade afghans to each grandchild and many family members as well as dozens of lap robes to veterans' homes and blankets to the Linus Fund. A love of books led her to volunteer for many years at the Jefferson Hills library. Her love of sports took her to numerous TJ games and she spent hours in bleachers watching various children and grandchildren playing sports. She rarely missed Pirates, Steelers, Penguins, or Pitt Panther games on TV and she loved being at the family cottage at Pymatuning where family get-togethers were legendary.
