She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Gallan and by her second husband, Frank Kleppner. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Marie Gallan and Arlene G. Gallan, Ph.D., two sons and daughters-in-law, William Gallan and his wife, Jo and Martin Gallan and his wife, Yuki; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. SWOPE ANDREW J. “DREW” Age 32, passed away on October 15, 2017, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. He was born February 6, 1985, in Philadelphia, PA, to Debbie Sharie Swope and Jack Custis Swope. A 2007 graduate of Furman University, he earned a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning at Georgia Tech, and was devoted to developing affordable housing in Atlanta and throughout the South. He married Amelia Cornish October 8, 2016, and they celebrated their marriage with family and friends in Winter Harbor, Maine, on June 17, 2017. Inquisitive, engaging and loving, Drew was known for his passion, exuberance, and spontaneity in life. He is survived by his wife, Amelia; brother, Michael; sister, Lauren; his parents; and many other family and friends, who are deeply grieved by his passing, but comforted in the knowledge that he is at peace with the Lord. HIMES LOIS MARIE On October 17, 2017, after a brief hospital stay, Lois Marie Himes, age 70, of Ambridge, PA, was called Home by her Lord and Savior. She was welcomed at Heaven's Gates by her late father and mother, Harry and Mary (Lento) Himes; her late brother, Joseph; and her lifetime friend, Sandra Egercic. She is survived by goddaughters, Denise and Tracey Egercic, Ambridge; and by lifelong family friends, John and Diane Balicki, Baden; their son, John Balicki, Jr., Pittsburgh; and a daughter, Jessica (Jason) Donatelli and children, Addison, Elise, and Logan Donatelli, Waxhaw, NC. Lois retired from Heinz Hall after 35 years. As a lifelong resident of Ambridge she was working at Laughlin Memorial Library and Edgeworth Elementary School. Lois was dedicated to her Catholic faith and joyfully volunteered at all Good Samaritan Church functions including the annual festival, the takeout window of the weekly fish fry and pirogi dinners. As an avid Snoopy (Peanuts) collector she also loved to try her luck at Rivers Casino just for the fun of it. Lois will be sadly missed by the many, many close friends and dear coworkers whose lives she touched in her quiet, gentle way. Kelly; grandmother of Maria (Daniel) Carson, Carolyn Carson, Catherine Kuo, Mack (Erica) Carson, Jacob (Kellie) Carson, Ryan Carson, Katie Kelly, Emily Kelly, and Reghan and Jasper Dalessandri-Fetterman; sister of Rosemary (Richard) Edwardson and Louee Dattilo; and cousin of Mary Ann Getty Sullivan. She was preceded in death by parents, Norman and Florine Sands; and siblings, Paul, John, Patricia, and Christine. Kate was beautiful, kind, and talented. She was married for more than forty years, meeting her husband when both were singing in the Mendelsohn Choir. She played piano and was a prolific maker of quilts. MORITZ GRACE MILLER Of Pittsburgh, PA, age 83. Grace was born in Long Island City, NY, the daughter of Benjamin and Violet Miller. Grace was the wife for 62 years of Silbert Moritz. She was the mother to Howard (Nancy Burk) Moritz, Lowell (Paula Beal) Moritz, Ruth (Jim) Moritz Allen, and Susan (Tom) Moritz Roth. She reveled in being the grandmother of Alex (Joanna), Simon, Carl, Ben (Jullie), Hillary, Emma, Elizabeth, Izzy, Jacob, and step-grandson Ben Berenstein, and the great-grandmother of Lydia Allen. Grace was the sister of Doris Levine, and a loving aunt. With four children at home, she earned her Bachelors degree in teaching, and then her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout her career, she employed her expert organizational skills to deftly manage many major studies and programs. She is a co-author of 22 published research papers. Grace touched the lives of many people when she became one of the first leaders of SOS, a bereavement group for survivors of suicide. She was the initial therapist at STAR, Services for Teens at Risk, a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania funded program for suicide prevention. She was a clinical interviewer for the Impact Study, examining the effects of sudden parental death, as well as a contributor to a study of youths exposed to suicide. She was an active member of Temple David in Monroeville, at one point co-coordinating the religious school, and later a member of Temple Sinai where she proudly became an adult Bat Mitzvah. Grace was a smart, strong, pragmatic person who seamlessly balanced the demands of being a housewife with those of a modern career woman. She was an expert at knitting, needlepoint, and sewing. She had a passion for learning, travel, family, fashion, chocolate, peanut butter and scotch. LENKNER LUCRETIA M. (HEIDERMAN) Of Munhall, on October 16, 2017, age 83. Born in Sharon, PA and raised in Masury, OH, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lucretia Heiderman; beloved wife of the late Robert R. Lenkner; mother of Lucretia A. Lenkner, Robert R. Lenkner, Jr., Diana Lynn King, and Michael David (Barbara) Lenkner; sister of the late Edward J. Heiderman, Frank Heiderman, and Dolores Jean McGarrity; also survived by nieces and nephews. Lucretia moved to Homestead to go to nursing school at the old Homestead Hospital. She worked first as an LPN and later graduated with a BSN from Penn State. Lucretia worked in many different health care settings. Even after retirement she still kept involved with nursing, becoming an instructor at CCAC for the nursing assistant program. She enjoyed both her patients over the years and the students she taught. She was also a Eucharistic Minister for St. Joan of Arc Church in South Park. WEBER MAJOR ROBERT “BOB” EDWARD In loving memory and tribute to a wonderful, caring, and devoted husband, father, brother, and soldier, Retired Air Force Major Robert “Bob” Edward Weber, (1948-2017). Bob died at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, October 13, 2017, after a long battle with an illness. Bob was born on March 5, 1948, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Robert Oscar and Thelma Snyder Weber. Bob graduated from South Hills Catholic High School, now Seton-La Salle Catholic High School, in Pittsburgh. He graduated from Duquesne University in 1970 with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Bob entered the United States Air Force after graduating from Duquesne University in 1970. Bob served at many United States Air Force base locations from coast to coast. He also served at Reine Air Base in Germany. During his Air Force career, he attained a Master's degree in Education (MED) from Troy State University in 1972. He retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Major. Bob entered his second career in 1986 at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Bob served on the recovery management side of FEMA. Bob responded to many disasters including hurricanes Charley and David in Florida and Katrina in Baton Rouge, LA. Bob had a passion for giving to others, especially those in need of assistance. Bob loved the people and teamwork required in managing disaster recovery and management. Bob obtained a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Valdosta State University in 1989 while working with FEMA. Bob retired from FEMA in January 2008. Bob is survived by a wife, Debra Overby Weber, of Stone Mountain and formerly of Goose Creek, South Carolina; daughters, Robyn Lynn Twilley, of Decatur, Georgia and Sharon Elizabeth Weber, of Stone Mountain, Georgia; sisters, Patricia (Patty) Weber and Betty Fanto, both of Pittsburgh, PA. He was the brother of late sisters, Carol Ann Weber and Roberta Lee Brennan, both of Pittsburgh, PA. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 20, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. at WAGES AND SONS FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, Main Street, Stone Mountain location. KILCHENSTEIN CATHIE Age 62, of Arlington, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017, in Woodland, CA, with her family by her side. Beloved daughter of Regina and the late Joseph Leszczewski; loving wife of James “Kilk” Kilchenstein; and amazing mother to Danielle (Victor Pancerev) Kilchenstein, and the late Jay Kilchenstein; loving grandmother of Jaya Kilchenstein. She also leaves behind eight brothers and sisters, including Jean, Frank, Pattie, Dave, Sue, Joan, Janet, and the late Joel; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She will also be missed by her longtime friends, especially her best friend, Linda Fortner, and many others who loved her. Cathie dedicated her life to her family and helping others. She worked in numerous service jobs until starting and running her own small business, Cathie's Towing, the first female owned and operated towing service company in Pittsburgh, PA. She retired from her business in the early 2000's to help raise her grandchild in California. She loved to cook, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Football fan, loved to draw, and taught Jaya all her skills. She loved spending time at the ocean. McFALLS KAYLEE A. Kaylee, age 25, of Canonsburg, PA died Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Allegheny General Hospital. She was an organ donor and was able to give life to four other individuals. She was born December 10, 1991, a daughter of John F. McFalls, Jr. and Peggy Moore McFalls of Canonsburg. Miss McFalls was a waitress at Hart's Restaurant in McDonald. Surviving are her maternal grandfather, Richard Moore of McDonald; nephew, Brayden McFalls; aunt and uncles, Debbie (Jim) Secreet of McDonald, Rich (Julie) Moore of Moon Twp., Shane Moore of Greene County; and great- aunts and uncles.
